PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Rivers Casino on the North Shore of Pittsburgh is set to reopen its doors on June 9.
The announcement was published on Twitter stating, "We are proud to announce Rivers Casino Pittsburgh will reopen on June 9th at 9am! We can not wait to see you again Pittsburgh! Visit https://riverscasino.com/pittsburgh/update for details."

— Rivers Casino Pittsburgh (@WinBigRivers) June 3, 2020The Casino will open at 9am on Tuesday with guidelines in place from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"Our team had already been working on making the changes announced by the PGCB in May," said Rivers Casino General Manager Bill Keena. "We intend to meet or exceed all requirements to provide a healthy environment. The safety and well-being of our Team Members, our guests and the community are our top priority. We're eager to welcome our friends and neighbors back to Rivers."
Capacity at the Casino will be limited to 50 percent.
Rivers Caino has been closed for weeks as part of the Wolf administration's COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
Allegheny County moves into the Green phase of the Governor's COVID reopening plan on Friday, June 5.
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino is also opening on June 9. Washington County moves to green on Friday as well.
