
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The “largest Rib Fest East of the Mississippi” is coming back to Heinz Field for its 16th year.
The 2019 Heinz Field Kickoff and Rib Fest starts August 29 and runs through Monday September 2.
The free event will feature ribs and brisket from the best vendors in the world.
A Steelers watch party will take place on the first night of the festival. Fans will be able to watch the last preseason game against the Panthers in Carolina on the Big Screen outside.
On the second evening, there will be activities ahead of Pitt’s first game. Tickets are required to get in the stadium but not for the Rib Fest.
Fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy free music from The Clarks, Gene the Werewolf, Tim Litvin and the Eli Young Band.
