
SHENANGO, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A person is in custody after a shooting that involved a school van.
The Shenango Area School District confirmed Tuesday morning that a van carrying seven elementary students was shot at, damaging both side windows.
None of the students were hurt and everyone is safe.
The van was traveling on PA Route 65 south when it was shot at in front of Mister B’s restaurant in New Castle.
The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
Shenango police say the male is in custody and that there is no threat to the public at this time.
An investigation continues.
