PITSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Some of Rob Rogers’ political cartoons that were never published are heading to Point Park University. Rogers is the former Editorial Cartoonist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
“Spiked: The Unpublished Political Cartoons of Rob Rogers,” will be on display at the Center for Media Innovation at Point Park.
“The exhibit started at Corcoran last year. They called me up after I was publicly fired,” Rogers said during an interview with KDKA Radio on Friday.
Last year, the Corcoran School at George Washington University in Washington D.C. asked to display the cartoons that the editor and publisher of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette killed.
Rob sketched 18 cartoons that never made it in the paper.
You can see those never before published cartoons at 305 Wood Street on Friday, March 1st between 5 and 8.p.m. It used to be the old Nathan’s Hot Dog Shop downtown.
Rogers will also be there showing off his work and signing books. If you can't make it, you can get your copy of his book here.
