WASHINGTON, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A small earthquake struck in Washington County early Tuesday morning.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the 2.2 magnitude quake struck just before 3 a.m. a little over six miles from Washington.
The epicenter of the quake is near the intersection of Verner Lane and Route 221.
There were no reports of damage.
The USGS says it is possible that the quake was a result of natural gas fracking but would not speculate further.
