PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - There is a bill on Governor Tom Wolf’s desk that could reopen car sales in Pennsylvania.

“I expected it to be mid-next week at the very, very latest," State Sen. Jay Costa told KDKA Radio. "But we’re going to continue to push, to expedite this as much as we can because it’s thoughtful, it’s logical, and now we have the legislative authority to do it.”

The bill would allow notaries to conduct business remotely during the statewide disaster emergency.

PennDOT says there would still need to be changes to title transfer requirements before vehicles could be sold remotely.
