
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Almost 400 people were arrested for driving under the influence over the Easter weekend in Pennsylvania.
PA State Police announced on Tuesday that there were 396 DUI arrests from April 19 to April 21, a 10 percent increase from last year.
Troopers also responded to 540 crashes over the weekend injuring 121 people.
Alcohol was a factor in 38 of the crashes and two people were killed in a head on collision in Indiana County.
Authorities also issued 5,847 speeding tickets, 511 seat belt citations and 76 child safety citations over the weekend.
