Stolen Gun Stopped By TSA Agents At Pittsburgh International Airport

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The third gun of 2020 was stopped by the Transportation Security Administration on Monday at Pittsburgh International Airport.

The woman from Broward County, Florida was arrested by police after she was caught trying to bring a loaded .38 caliber handgun through a security checkpoint.

TSA contacted County Police who confiscated the gun and detained the woman for questioning before arresting her.

The gun the woman was trying to get through security was previously reported as stolen.

Monday’s stop marks the third gun stopped by TSA at Pittsburgh International in 10 days.

When a gun is detected, checkpoints at the airport come to a standstill while the incident is resolved.

2019 was a record year for guns stopped at Pittsburgh International with 35.
