(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - For years retailers were opening earlier and earlier to take advantage of Black Friday shoppers looking for a good deal.
That led to some retailers opening up on Thanksgiving evening and even earlier.
But in the past couple years, there has been some backlash with people pressuring retailers to stay closed on Thanksgiving so employees could spend time with their families.
With the Christmas shopping season begins next month, some retailers have already announced their intention to close on the day of thanks.
BestBlackFriday.com is keeping track of what is closing and what is staying open to keep shoppers up to date.
