PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Whether you’re a coin collector, have inherited your grandfather’s coins or just have a large jug of pennies in your possession, The National Money Show this weekend at the David Lawrence Convention Center could be the place you strike it rich!
Donn Pearlman tells Larry and John on KDKA Radio 300 dealers are under the roof at hall B and he estimates there is about $100 million worth of coins in one area.
“You can see a million dollar Pennsylvania, there’s a three million dollar nickel, there’s a four million silver dollar on display there,” said Pearlman. “It’s an educational event, a family-friendly event; you can have your picture taken with your face on a hundred thousand dollar bill.”
Pearlman says if you have old coins or a stack of old paper money, most dealers on hand will give you a free evaluation, let you know if you have anything worthwhile in your collection and the that the dealers are ready to buy and sell.
The National Money Show runs Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $8 and children 12 and under get in free.
Saturday’s hours run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free for everyone!
