Officials in the California Area School District alerted parents of an incident with a BB gun.
According to a letter from Superintendent Laura Jacob, a middle school student showed a BB gun to other students on Google Meet on Thursday.
The district said there was no audio on the virtual meeting and no apparent threats were made to the student's classmates.
The school notified authorities who then addressed the incident at the student's residence.
Jacob went on to write, "California Area School District will continue to intervene and address any reported safety risks to our children or staff."
