PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A major bridge project is underway on I-79.
Starting Thursday and continuing weekdays from 9am to 3pm, PennDOT crews will restrict the I-179 Neville Island bridge to a single lane in each direction for an overall bridge rehailitation project.

Additional overnight and weekend restrictions will start in early September.
The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023.
