Two Chicken Nugget Recalls In As Many Days; Rubber, Milk To Blame

WASHINGTON (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Tyson Foods is recalling chicken nuggets because they may be contaminated with rubber a day after Perdue recalled nuggets with an undeclared allergen. 

Tyson Foods is recalling more than 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets because they may be contaminated with rubber.

The Agriculture Department reports consumer complaints about the 5-pound packages of Tyson White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets.

The packages have a use by date of Nov. 26, 2019 and have establishment number “P-13556” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Anyone who has purchased the product is should not eat it, cut the UPC and date code from the back of the packaging and mail it to Tyson for a full refund:

On Tuesday, Perdue Foods recalled more than 16,000 pounds of chicken nuggets because of an undeclared allergen, milk.

The recalled product includes 12-ounce packages of Perdue Fun Shapes Chicken Breast Nuggets with a use by date of March 11, 2019 and contain the lot codes 17009010 – 19009010. They have establishment number “P-369” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The Perdue nuggets items were sold in Pennsylvania; Ohio; Maryland; West Virginia; Washington, DC; Connecticut; Delaware; Maine; Massachusetts; New Jersey; New York; Rhode Island; Vermont; and Virginia.
