PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Homeowners, renters and businesses in Allegheny and neighboring counties may be eligible for financial relief for last month's flooding.

The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering low-interest loans for eligible storm-related damages from the flash flooding on July 21 and 22.

The Pittsburgh area was inundated with rain, especially suburbs east of the city. Flash flooding closed roadways for hours and prompted several swift water rescues.

Assistance eligibility is based on applicants’ financial qualifications. See more information on the program here

The SBA will open a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) staffed by representatives to issue loan applications, answer questions about the disaster loan program, explain the application process, and help individuals complete their applications.
