Water Advisory Remains In Effect On Neville Island

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Do Not Drink notice is still in effect for Neville Township Thursday.

Officials say the water is safe for all purposes except for drinking, food prep and cooking.

A water buffalo and cases of water are available at 5300 Grand Avenue from 5 a.m. through midnight.

Neville: The Do Not Drink notice remains in effect 10/24. Water is safe for all purposes except for drinking, cooking & food prep. Drinking water remains available at the Neville Township FD, 5300 Grand Ave. Distribution is open from 5 AM to Midnight.

This issue came about after a massive backflow made officials question the safety of the water.

The water issue affect about 1,000 residents.
