PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A great way to celebrate Mother's Day is to treat your mom to a nice sit-down dinner.
Emily Catalano, Founder of Good Food Pittsburgh, joined KDKA Radio on Friday to give individuals a few dining options. Here are a few of her recommendations:
Threadbare Cider House in North side
- Part of the Wigle Whiskey family,
- Make their own homemade cider
-*Free cider mimosa for moms on Mother's Day*
"They have a full brunch menu and breakfast pizzas; really, really delicious food," Catalano tells KDKA Radio.
Smallman Galley in Strip District / Federal Galley in North side
- These galley's include four different restaurant concepts.
- Fully equipped bars.
"One person can get mexican, another person can get deep dish pizza and another person can get fried chicken and waffles," Catalano explains.
She also suggests Union Standard (Downtown), Cafe Carnegie (Carnegie), and Scratch Food and Beverage (Troy Hill).
If you plan on taking your mother out to dinner, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. It is expected to be one of the busiest dining days of the year.
