If you made a New Year’s Resolution, January 12th is a critical date.

According to research by Strava, a social media network for athletes, that’s when most people give up on that yearly promise to themselves.

This date was determined after analyzing 31.5 million online global activities last January.

For more discouraging news, another study by the University of Scranton says that only eight percent of people achieve their New Year’s goals.

But, here is some encouragement: If you want to be one of the few who achieve their resolutions, experts say you should only make resolutions you’re truly passionate about and want to keep.

They also say it helps to make small and specific goals.

For example, don’t make your resolution to lose weight; it should be something like do five pushups every morning.

We hope this quick tip makes you one of the eight percent! Good luck!
