Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts Of The Area

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A winter weather advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday tonight through 7 a.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for rain or freezing rain tonight with a trace of ice accumulation.

LATEST ACCUWEATHER FORECAST

The areas affected include Butler, Lawrence, Indiana Counties, as well as parts of Fayette and Westmoreland Counties.

The NWS warns that hazardous traveling conditions could impact Thursday morning’s commute in those areas.

Temperatures should say warm enough in the greater Pittsburgh area for only rain to fall.

Overnight lows in Pittsburgh are expected to be around 36.
