HARRISBURG, Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Wolf administration has issued new guidance regarding outdoor activities for businesses in the yellow phase of the COVID-19 reopening plan.
Outdoor activities such as mountain biking, outdoor miniature golf, motorsports venues, go carts, rock climbing, disc golf, paintball, horse riding, tennis, archery or shooting, and other similar facilities that have outdoor operations can resume in yellow phase counties.
While businesses that have outdoor recreation activities can resume their outdoor operations, they are still restricted from engaging in indoor activities for the public. The only exceptions that restriction include the use of restrooms, ticketing and entry points.
In addition, businesses must ensure that guests adhere to social distancing guidlines.
"As summer quickly approaches and all 67 counties are in either yellow or green phases of reopening, it was important to provide businesses with the guidance necessary to safely reopen or plan for reopening as they reach the green phase," Gov. Wolf said in a release. "I want all Pennsylvanians to remain active and to enjoy all the recreation the commonwealth has to offer, but we must do so safely and with social distancing top of mind."
Much of Southwestern PA is in the green phase. The only exception is Beaver County, which is scheduled to move into the green phase on Friday.
