Allegheny County Jail

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Wilkinsburg woman is charged with attempted homicide and assault after a fight over a parking space.

Tracey Shifflett allegedly ran down another woman and pinned her between two cars on Holmes Street near the intersection with Hay Street.

It happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning.

Police say Shifflett came home and began honking her horn.

That's when neighbors came outside and say Shifflett then get out of her car and start punching one of them, accusing the woman of parking in her space.

Then they say Shifflett got back into her, sped off and ran down the neighbor's aunt, pinning her between two cars.

A criminal complaint says Shifflett was driving so fast, she left behind chunks of rubber and more than 20 feet of tire marks on the roadway.

The victim, Eugenia Miller suffered a fractured pelvis and serious injuries to both of her legs, which required surgery.

Shifflett is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
