Batman fans have been patiently awaiting the hero’s latest revival, and with "The Batman" less than a year away, anticipation for the film has reached an all-time high.

Luckily, fans were recently given a taste of what’s to come, as the film unveiled a calendar featuring new looks at Batman, the Batmobile, Selina Kyle and The Riddler. However, many fans were stunned at The Riddler’s new design, leading to a heated debate online.

"The Batman" and director Matt Reeves have already faced plenty of online backlash for casting, designs and many other aspects of the film that is yet to be released, so the anger over The Riddler’s updated look is nothing new.

However, some online are praising the character’s new look, with many pointing out the similarities to the Zodiac Killer.

Of course, plenty were still upset, preferring the classic green question mark suit look.

Luckily, some are ready for an update.

“I have no issue with the Riddler's new look in The Batman 2022. He looks frightening and iconic in his own unique way,” one commenter wrote.

According to Comicbook.com, "The Batman" is set to hit theaters March 4, 2022.
