(WWJ) — Eminem is becoming a grandpa.

The Detroit rap icon made a subtle announcement in the music video for his new song “Temporary,” which is a tribute to his relationship with daughter, Hailie Jade.

Near the end of the video — which features home videos and pictures dating back to the late ‘90s — it shows footage of Eminem, Marshall Mathers, at his daughter’s wedding earlier this year.

It then shows a clip of her gifting him with a new Detroit Lions jersey bearing the number 1 and the name “Grandpa” on the back. Mathers holds up a sonogram of his soon-to-be grandchild.

Hailie Jade confirmed the news to her millions of followers on Instagram hours after the music video was released Thursday. The post was captioned "mom & dad est. 2025."

“Temporary” was included on Eminem’s latest album, ““The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” which was released on July 12. The song was written as a comforting message to Hailie Jade after he dies.
