The legendary rock group has announced a farewell tour beginning this September in Seattle. Surviving members Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith will say goodbye to fans as the tour promises “a magical night of music: all the hits, deep cuts and fan favorites.”
The Monkees had originally postponed a series of 2020 tour dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Dolenz and Nesmith are set to hit the road for a series of shows in the fall of 2021. The tour will take The Monkees across the United States before wrapping up on November 10 in Kansas City.
The band initially formed in 1965 for a TV series and featured Peter Tork and Davey Jones alongside Dolenz and Nesmith. The group has gone on to be one of the best-selling bands of all time with over 75 million records sold worldwide.
You can find a full list of tour dates below and purchase tickets beginning this Friday, May 7.
