PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Shoplifting attempt in Kennedy Township Friday ended with an overturned vehicle and a suspect in custody.
According to a witness, a man ran out of the Kennedy Township Giant Eagle with a couple hundred dollars of stolen meat with him.
The man got in his car and then took off speeding but was t-boned by an unsuspecting orange truck that flipped the suspect's vehicle in the parking lot.
"The poor guy in the orange truck ended up T-boning him," Christine Parrish told KDKA Radio. "Of course you know it wasn't his fault because the kid literally was flying for him to flip the car like that."
Parrish, who was going shopping at the time, says she spoke with police and fire officials after the incident who confirmed the suspect was "immediately arrested".
Crews were able to get the car flipped back over and towed away.
