Getting To Know New Morning Show Co-Host Kevin Battle

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh native Kevin Battle has joined Larry Richert as the new co-host of the KDKA Radio Morning Show. He was previously a news anchor and journalist at "Fox News Headlines 24/7." 

Before Fox, Battle served as Program Director and on-air personality for sister station 105.7 The Fan (WJZ-FM) in Baltimore. He has also held the roles of Director of Marketing and Promotions and on-air personality for two radio stations in Pittsburgh and news anchor for WNEW-FM (now WDCH-FM) in Washington D.C.

What was your first job?

Paperboy at The Pittsburgh Press.

Do you have any pets?

Betta Fish named Randy.

What's your favorite food?

Pizza.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

What's your favorite band? 

Ozzy Osbourne. 

Do you have a hero? 

Jesus Christ. 

What sports did you play growing up?

Baseball, ran track, and a little bit of football (essentially I was benched most of the time).

When your not working, how do you like to spend your time? 

Cooking.

What is your favorite part about working in radio?

Conveying information and meeting listeners.
