Pittsburgh Original Klondike Releasing Ice Cream Donuts

(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A frozen treat that got its start in Pittsburgh is changing the world of donuts.

Klondike is releasing three different flavors of Klondike Donuts that will be widely available beginning in April.

The flavors are Frosted Strawberry, Triple Chocolate and Boston Cream.

While the donuts are not available nationally yet, the flavors were spotted at a couple local Giant Eagle locations.  

Klondike Bars originated at Isaly’s locations and was later sold to the Good Humor-Breyers company.
