Seven Spring Has Begun Making Snow For Ski Season

PITTSBURGH (Newsardio 1020 KDKA) - Seven Springs has snow! Well they're getting snow.

With frigid temperatures moving through the area, the snow makers at Seven Springs and Hidden Valley were turned on Thursday evening.

The snowmaking will run around the clock as long as weather conditions allow it.

Crews also replaced almost 5,000 feet of pipe that the report says will improve "snow quality across a vast swath of the resort's skiable acreage".

In addition older snow guns have been replaces and have been running since early Friday morning.

Katie Buchan says in a release that opening day for the resorts will be announced soon.
