You might expect to find that long lost sock in the dryer while doing laundry.
But one Florida family got a different surprise last week when their clothes driver wasn't working properly.
According to television station WKMG, Alyson Pring called repairman Darrell Cobble to take a look at the appliance on Thursday.
“He just stands up, and he walks off. He’s like, ‘There’s a dead snake in there,’” Pring told the station.

Cobble explained to the station that on occasion snakes find a way to get into a dryer, though most have some sort of grate on the outside to prevent such things from happening. “They didn’t have one, so it kind of found its way.”

Pring said she's glad it wasn't worse and is happy the snake is gone and the dryer is ready to go once again.
