PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) The Port Authority of Allegheny County announced Friday a member of their workforce died after being hospitalized with COVID-19.
The employee was a 21-year veteran with the Port Authority and worked as a bus operator before taking on various roles at the agency.
Most recently, this employee worked with the Way Department, which is primarily responsible for outdoor maintenance.
He was 61-years old and last worked on Feb. 12.
This is the Port Authority’s fourth employee to die from the coronavirus.
