One killed in Knoxville shooting, juvenile wounded in Sheraden

A man was killed outside a convenience store in Knoxville Wednesday afternoon and a juvenile was shot in Sheraden Thursday morning.

Pittsburgh Police were sent to the 100 block of Amanda Street where the man was shot outside Triangle Mart around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon in Knoxville.

First responders found the 51-year-old man at the back of the building with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s officer has identified the victim as Anthony Walker of Pittsburgh.

Detectives are investigating and reviewing all available video.

Just after 6:40 Thursday morning, police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 3100 block of Ashlyn Street in Sheraden.

First Responders found a juvenile man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.

A gun was found near the location of the shooting.

An investigation is ongoing there as well.
