The Pennsylvania State Game Commission has given approval to 10 additional Sunday hunting days this year after a bill repealing an old law was passed earlier this month.
They are:
September 14,21 and 28
October 5,12,19 and 26
November 2 and 9 (hunting already permitted on Nov. 15,23,30)
December 7
Before the bill was signed into law, the Game Commission only had the ability to designate three Sundays a year for hunting.
State Representative Mandy Steele, who authored the bill that was signed into law earlier this month, says this is just the beginning and she looks forward to the years when Sunday hunting is fully incorporated into hunting season.
“The Game Commission has done a phenomenal job at expediting this year’s additional Sunday hunting dates,” Steele said. “This legislation moved quickly for Pennsylvania’s hunters from the House of Representatives to the governor’s desk, and I am glad to see the additional dates introduced immediately by the Game Commission for hunters this season.”
