Another sign the season is changing.
Thousands of birds showed up on radar in Pittsburgh Wednesday night.
According to BirdCast Info, a website that tracks bird migrations, 337 million birds are beginning to fly south for the winter.
BirdCast says over 19,000 birds will be traveling through the Pittsburgh area late Thursday into Friday.
You can make the journey safer by turning off unnecessary outdoor lights between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., which can disorient birds and cause them to fly into buildings and other structures.
