17 pets have been rescued from horrible conditions inside a local house.

All But Furgotten, working along with Jeannette Police, animal control and humane officers, rescued seven dogs, four cats, five birds and a gecko over the weekend.

The rescue group says the animals were living in dark rooms, covered in urine and feces along with fleas, flies and rodents.

Two of the dogs were found in a bathroom, two others were locked in basement and three were on the loose.

“Tall weeds outside with no sign of any life living there,” All But Furgotten said on Facebook. “No dog has seen this yard or felt grass under their paws.”

The cats didn’t have any clean food or water and the bird were living in “deplorable conditions.”

The gecko was in a small container that was barely big enough.

“Heartbreaking that this mentally exists,” the post says.

You can donate to All But Furgotten to help their efforts.

They are also looking for people to adopt a pet at their rescue and are looking for volunteers. More information can be found below.
