18-year-old arrested in fatal shooting of Carnegie man

An 18-year-old man has been arrested after a 21-year-old Carnegie man was shot and killed inside a home in Washington County Sunday night.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. at a house on Walnut Street in Ellsworth Borough.

The coroner's office says Elijah Johnson was shot inside a friend’s home.

Troopers later arrested Christopher Harper in New Castle.

Police say that Johnson and Harper knew one another and got into a fight about a woman.

Harper is facing several charges, including homicide, burglary, recklessly endangering another person and a firearms violation.
