Two car accidents in Pittsburgh in the past day are under investigation.
Police are investigating after a chain reaction crash involving nine vehicles overnight in the Strip District.
Pittsburgh Public Safety says one vehicle flipped on its side on the 1500 block of Penn Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Four vehicles were towed from the scene
The driver of the car initially refused medical help but EMS were able to convince them to go to the hospital to be evaluated.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Earlier, two vehicles were involved in a crash on the Boulevard of the Allies at McDevitt Place in Oakland around 2 p.m.
Police say the driver of one vehicle crossed the yellow line and crashed head-on with another vehicle.
The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Two people in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital. The driver was in stable condition, the passenger had a possible broken leg.
