Two dead after three separate motorcycle accidents in area

Police in the Pittsburgh area are reporting three motorcycle accidents in six hours on Sunday.

A motorcycle collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Forbes and South Dallas avenues just after 4 p.m.

Both the cyclist and a passenger were injured and taken to a hospital.

Around the same time, a motorcycle crashed with a minivan in North Versailles near the intersection of 5th and Westinghouse avenues.

The driver of the motorcycle, Benjamin Petkosek of Monroeville was pronounced dead at a hospital. The van driver was in stable condition.

And, Sunday night around 9:30 there was a second cycle accident in North Versailles at the intersection of Route 30 and Clyde Avenue.

Cyclist Darien Clark of Beaver Falls died after being taken to a hospital.

The van driver was not injured.
