Many people fight food insecurity in our region and we want to make sure no one has to worry about where their next meal comes from.

Last fiscal year Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank served 48 million meals in their 11-county service area. That is 4 million more meals than last year. Inflation continues to impact food prices which has impacted the need. $1 can provide enough food for up to 3 meals Last year, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank:
o Distributed, 36% (16 million pounds) of fresh, healthy produce
o Distributed more than 223,000 backpacks to 7,500 students at 150 locations through the BackPack program.
o Distributed 67,000 boxes through the senior food box program
o Received more than 16,600 calls to our resource center
o Rescued 20.4 million pounds of food
