An animal shelter in Westmoreland County is looking for information after puppies were found dumped along a trail in Greensburg.
Ninth Life Rescue Center says three “extremely emaciated and dehydrated” puppies were found in a box along 5 Star Train in Greensburg on Thursday.
The puppies also have puncture wounds and broken teeth.
Ninth Life is asking for any information. “Did you see someone on the trail carrying a box? Did your neighbors have puppies on Wednesday but not on Thursday? Call us.”
If you have any information, you can call or text 724-217-4257. A cash reward is available to anyone that is able to provide information leading to finding out who is behind the dumping.
The three puppies are being treated by veterinarians, getting a little bit of food and water every few hours so their bodies can get used to nutrients again.
