An animal rescue in North Huntingdon is asking for any support that can be provided after, at least, 35 cats have been rescued from deplorable conditions inside a Westmoreland County home.
All But Furgotten and Ninth Life Rescue Center say “35 voiceless, innocent, and helpless souls” were rescued earlier this week from the home.
Rescuers say many have upper respiratory infections, “severe matting, ear infections” and countless other health issues, including “a life of inbreeding”.
More cats are believed to be trapped as rescue efforts continue.
The rescuers say in addition to the health issues, the cats have to now adjust to an entirely new environment.
