A fire watch is in effect in Carrick after a one-alarm fire this morning.
Firefighters were sent to a home on East Cherryhill Street near the intersection with Alries Street around 8 a.m.
The house was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
No one was inside at the time.
A firefighter was evaluated for heat exhaustion and released.
