An active shooter situation broke out Wednesday morning in the Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

As of noon, no reports of anyone hit.

Pittsburgh Public Safety says to avoid the 4800 block of Broad Street and North Mathilda Street.

Anyone on that block should shelter in place and call 911.

Public Safety adds that the situation is “extremely active.”

KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin reports that two police drones have been shot down.

Pittsburgh Police and Allegheny County SWAT are on the scene. Pennsylvania State Police and the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office are also on the scene.

The FBI has also arrived on the scene to assist.

The sheriff's office was trying to serve an eviction notice and the shooter started firing.

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying one of their Sergeants suffered a minor injury while avoiding gunfire. He was not wounded and is doing “ok”.

Hundreds of rounds have been fired. SWAT is on the scene near Penn Avenue, which is close to Allegheny Cemetery and Children’s Hospital.
