Sadly, a week doesn't go by without some sort of violent act that leaves us all wondering why. The most recent outbreak happened at Carrick High School.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with allegedly stabbing three classmates and some of the injuries were very serious.
We always ask, how can we stop this? In this particular case, there was bullying that wasn't addressed.
Social media attacks that should've been dealt with and a knife that was not detected by a metal detector.
It has to start at home. Parents need to know what's going with their kids and what's on their phones.
The security in place at schools needs to be professionally enforced. Bullying often leads to violence. Report it and act on it.
Communicate and take threats seriously.
We can no longer send prayers and hope it stops. Take action and make it stop.
