Before the highly-anticipated second season of the HBO Max show “The Pitt” debuts Thursday night, its been announced the Emmy-winning show will be back for a third.
“The PITT” has become one of the most popular shows in television, winning the Emmy Award for outstanding drama.
Wyle won the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a drama series for his role as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.
The setting for the show takes place in a fictional Pittsburgh hospital, but all of the exterior shots are filming at Allegheny General Hospital on the North Side.
HBO Max calls “The PITT” “a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.”
Season 2 debuts at 9 p.m. on the streaming service.
