Albert Gallatin warns of potential shaved ice contamination during Halloween event

The district says the ice may have been contaminated with glass and insulin

In Fayette County, the Albert Gallatin School District is alerting parents and families shaved ice served at an event Wednesday may have been contaminated with broken glass and insulin.

The ice was served at a trunk or treat event at A.L. Wilson Elementary Center.

The district is advising anyone who consumed the shaved ice and experiencing adverse effects to seek medical attention.

Superintendent Christopher Pegg is also asking families that experience any effects to contact the Albert Gallatin business office.
