A day after Giant Eagle announced 50 of its items will be on sale this coming week another grocery store with several locations in Western PA say it’s lowering prices as well.
Starting September 23, ALDI says it’s lowering prices on “nearly one-third of the everyday in-store assortment.
ALDI says it’s lower-priced items are estimated to save customers an estimated $86 million.
Some of the items include “grapes, Bartlett pears, Brussels sprouts, butternut and spaghetti squash, fresh herbs and garlic, French beans along with a wide range of apples and potatoes. Honeycrisp apples are priced at $1.99 per pound, 35% lower than last year and their lowest everyday price in more than five years.”
Kirkwood chicken breast packs are $1.99 a pound, the lowest prices in four years.

The lowered prices last through at least November 3 at ALDI stories across the Pittsburgh area and the nation.
