Police in Aliquippa arrested eight people while responding to incidents on Saturday night and Sunday morning at Good to Go restaurant on Sheffield Road.
Police say officers encountered people fighting, yelling and causing a disturbance. 4 arrests were made in each incident.
Charges include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, aggravated assault on a police office, obstruction and more.
Aliquippa says in a 24-hour period, 11 people were arrested in connection with disturbances at the location.
Owner of Good to Go Jordan Michael released a statement on Facebook that says, in part:
“I want to make this very clear. I have A zero tolerance policy, I enforce this and anybody who has been in establishment knows this a lot of the incidents that are happening are coming from people coming intoxicated from other bars and being denied entry, or lingering outside being a disturbance to the community and other people, none of these events have happened inside of Good to Go or because of Good to go, but because it’s in front of my property I take full responsibility, it’s a shame we can’t have nothing nice, it’s breaks my heart because I’ve been nothing but a pillar to this community, I’ve hired private security and all, y’all still don’t get it.”
