The three board members were certifying the midterm election results.

And they did, unanimously, except for a handful of precincts where some voters are petitioning in Common Pleas Court for recounts.

County Executive and Election Board chairman Rich Fitzgerald tells NewsRadio KDKA, “It will have no impact on the election results at all, we’re talking about just a couple of precincts, um, 12 out of 1,323.”

During public comments, several people asked the board not to certify the results but none provided any evidence of voter fraud.

At one point, the session became contentious and three deputies were called in. There were no arrests.
