PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio KDKA) — The Allegheny County Health Department announced its most recent COVID-19 update for Saturday, May 8.
Up through May 7, 246 new positive cases have been reported by the County.
Of the 246 new cases, 147 were confirmed, and 99 were probable.
The latest wave of tests saw positives ranging from four months to 94 years old with a median age of 34 years.
In addition, there were four new reported deaths.
Two of the latest deaths were individuals in their 50s.
One decedent was in their 60s, and the remaining death was an individual in their 70s.

Since March 14, 2020, the Allegheny County Health Department has reported a total of 98,969 COVID-19 cases, 6,867 hospitalizations, and 1,900 deaths.
