Swimming pools in the city and county will be closed over the holiday weekend. Both are struggling to find enough lifeguards.

In Pittsburgh, 80 are needed and 150 are needed in Allegheny County.

Andrew Grobe with the county Parks Department says they've raised pay to $14 an hour and they're offering an additional financial incentive.

"One of the things that we're doing is if you come and take our test and get certified by us, we reimburse you the $200 it takes you to sign up for the class," he said.

Allegheny County pools will be open the first weekend of June. The City of Pittsburgh will open eight pools on June 14th, but only if there are enough lifeguards.
