Allegheny Health Network is celebrating the birth of its 100,000th baby born since the network’s formation.
AHN announced on Tuesday it has surpassed 100,000 births at its five labor and delivery units throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Allegheny Health Network formed in 2013.
To mark the occasion, AHN hosted “special celebrations recognizing the extraordinary dedication of the labor & delivery caregivers throughout the AHN Women’s Institute.”
Several newborns were fitted with specially-made onesies that say “100,000 & Me”.
“Last year, Allegheny Health Network’s maternity units celebrated a record-breaking number of deliveries, a clear affirmation of our commitment to providing exceptional, accessible prenatal and postpartum care to our obstetric patients, from conception through the fourth trimester,” said Marcia Klein-Patel, MD, PhD, Chair of AHN Women’s Institute. “Although we continue to grow, our dedication to deeply personalized, high-quality care remains unchanged.”
